Description
With your help, an international student transforms from wide-eyed newcomer to cherished family member and high school friend. Student exchange is about more than "right now." It is a vital part of public diplomacy, as the warmth and caring you give to a student will make them ambassadors for America throughout their lives. And not only do students spread the good word about America abroad, they often remain friends for life!
EF Foundation is committed to making international exchange benefit everyone. We work hard to get students ready for their transition into American life, and at the same time give our families the tools to be prepared and confident hosts. You will:
- Select a student who shares your interests
- Receive local training and support from a coordinator in your area
- Count on 24/7 support from our national offices in Boston
Skills
- EF Foundation host parents must be at least 25 years of age and be able to provide a stable, caring home environment.
- We welcome interest from all kinds of families. All we ask: be yourself!
- EF Foundation host families are volunteers; students come fully-insured and with their own spending money.
We look forward to providing more information about how you can do a world of good... one student at a time!
