Hosting an exchange student with EF Foundation for Foreign Study is the perfect way to bring the world into your home. Your host student will be eager to tell you all about his or her home country, family traditions and culture. You and your family can learn a few words of another language, sample new foods, and make a profound personal connection. This experience will give you the opportunity to get an in-depth understanding of the world outside our borders.

It is a vital part of public diplomacy, as the warmth and caring you give to a student will make them ambassadors for America throughout their lives. EF Foundation is committed to making international exchange benefit everyone. We work hard to get students ready for their transition into American life, and at the same time give our families the tools to be prepared and confident hosts. You will:

• Select a student who shares your interests
• Receive local training and support from a coordinator in your area
• Count on 24/7 support from our national offices in Boston

Required Skills:

• EF Foundation host parents must be at least 25 years of age and be able to provide a stable, caring home environment.
• We welcome interest from all kinds of families. All we ask: be yourself!
• EF Foundation host families are volunteers; students come fully-insured and with their own spending money.
